5 techniques for higher converting blog posts

Can you think of any websites out there that DON'T benefit from high-converting blog posts?

Whether it's e-commerce, a business website, personal blogs, or an online business, blogging is super important and can help a website grow hella fast!

Blogging is free content that drives traffic to your website, increases your "like, know & trust" factor, showcases your offerings, and pimps out your knowledge/expertise to potential clients. People love checkout out free content online and blogging is a phenomenal way to reach new audiences and attract more of your ideal client.

In my own business, for example, blogging has been a game changer. I publish new blog posts at least twice a week (binge the Archives here) and that consistency has definitely paid off. A quick look at my Squarespace Analytics tab shows that Google and Pinterest are my largest traffic drivers, and that I can directly attribute those referrals to blogging.

The best places to get social media graphic templates

First of all, you have to build the dang thing and that is a serious undertaking. There's so much that goes into the the design, layout, formatting and technical integrations before people can actually visit your site! And once it’s live, the fun doesn’t stop. Running a website is pretty much a full-time job, especially if you are trying to grow and monetize it down the road. Whether your website supports another business or it IS your business, there are so many moving parts to keep track of if you want it to succeed!

Some of us find the technical side of running a website super easy, but have a harder time with the design elements. We can do it, of course, but sometimes the creative design process is a struggle!

One thing that I often hear from my clients is that once their website goes live, they want to use social media to send traffic back to their sites. This is music to my ears because it follows best practices, but it’s also where people get stumped. This is especially true if you aren't a graphic designer who is used to creating design elements every day! I hear my clients lament that they aren’t designers themselves or that they don't have a dedicated designer on staff to whip up all of the social media graphics that are needed to support their sites and blog posts.

Little do they know, they don’t have to be! And they don't have to hire out that design work either.

Let me introduce you to the wonderful world of social media graphic templates available online. There are tons of gorgeous options available and  many of them are free to use… you just have to know where to look!

Expert Roundup : Tips for creating graphics that support your website

Text + images + internet = website

A website is made up of so much more than just a bit of text and a few image. There's a lot of strategy involved and depending on what the goals are for your website, your website will look totally different from someone else's. Which is a good thing!

One design element that is often overlooked (but packs a major punch) is website graphics.

Graphics can go a long way to support your website and help form a visual identity for your brand online. Images and unique GIFs for your website or social media channels should focus on quality over quantity for best results. However, I've noticed that graphics are also something that many people get wrong. Frequent faux-pas that I see on many websites are a lack of consistency in aesthetic, sizing, branding, or that they are completely missing!

If you're looking to build and run a website that promotes your products or services and helps to generate revenue, quality graphics are necessary. And lucky for you, they are much easier to understand and create than you might think!

I've reached out to some of the industry's leading experts to make sure that you have the best advice possible when it comes to creating graphics for your website.
